It was a day of contradictions
On one hand, it was a beautiful day in Albuquerque, New Mexico The Sandia Mountains were serene with their purple coloration; the handsome Cottonwood trees lining the Rio Grande River were in full bloom; and the open skies of the vast New Mexico landscape were beautifully transcendent.

On the other hand, it was a day of sadness, questions, and even, depression.

You see, as I write this, I remember clearly walking through a graveyard, looking at gravestones of children that had died, and pondering what I was about to say to a family.

My heart broke as I read some of the words written on the stones

“Until we meet again...”

“May you rest in peace, my child...”

As a father, husband, and Pastor, I couldn’t help but sorrow for all the families that have buried children. This is something any parent would find almost impossible to partake.

Questions came

“Pastor Skip, why would God take my precious baby...?”

“Pastor, where is my child now?”

“Skip, will I recognize my son in heaven?”

It is questions like these that precipitated this booklet.
